Church of St Peter, West Knighton, Dorset
Reordering, creation of servery and installation of underfloor heating

The interior of the Grade I listed church of St Peter, West Knighton was configured by Thomas Hardy in 1894, but had recently been in cold and damp condition, with the fabric deteriorating as a result. The installation of new underfloor heating has brought the building up to a constant temperature. This, together with the removal or relocation of a number of pews, the removal of the pipe organ and pulpit, the relocation of the font and the addition of a new servery, now allows the church to serve the community beyond its use for regular worship.
